Rotract Club
Rotract Club is in fact the branch of Rotary International run under the expert guidance and leadership of teachers. It is run and participated by students for betterment and uplifting society in various ways.
At present, 50 students have been enrolled under this project. Rotract Club organized Diwali fest – colorful program. It was a program with full of Raga and Masti held between 2nd and 3rd October of November 2010. In this event a wide variety cultural programs such as Rangoli making, Diya sajao, Pooja Ki Thali sajao, were organized in the college. There programs were conceptualized by our Rotract Club and targeted to inculcate values of Indian Culture and Tradition. On 23rd of Jan 2011 Polio awareness camp was organized where people from New Zealand were invited as chief guest. Mr. Ren Wilson, Mr. George and Mrs Margreet observed the workings of Polio camps. Our students presented a skit and some thought Provoking issues were raised to enable the country make Polio free.
T.B awareness .clean water, AIDS prevention Giver type of awareness programmes are in the pipeline of Rotract Projects.
With the Motto – ‘I CAN’ there was no field untouched by the club whether it was Environment protection ,Education awareness , Health awareness programs , Blood Donation Camps , Helping Orphanage & teaching poor children or awareness against Female Foeticide etc .
Joy of giving Week (oct 2 to oct 8 2013)
‘ God has given us two hands , one for ourselves & one for helping others’ , with this behalf the club celebrated Joy of Giving Week. A visit to the koshish school , a school for physically & mentally retarted students was planned . The entire team distributed sweets and played many games with the students . The aim was to spare a little time from the busy schedule to bring smile on the faces.
